EARLY CHILDHOOD COMMUNITY NETWORK

As directed by Louisiana’s Early Childhood Education Act, Beauregard Parish has worked together to create a unified system of high quality, publicly-funded options to families to ensure more children enter school kindergarten ready. This network is a local early childhood community network that includes every public Pre-Kindergarten, Child Care, and Head Start program within the parish.

The state coordinates these community networks by designating a Lead Agency for each community to coordinate essential activities, specifically observations and enrollment. The Lead Agency also serves as fiscal agent.

  • conduct administrative functions for the community network
  • coordinate CLASS observations assuring that accurate observations are conducted for all Toddler and Pre-K classrooms and that feedback is provided to all programs
  • coordinate the birth-to-age-five enrollment and the state funding application for the community network

Please click here to review our funding request for the 2024-2025 school year.
Each year, Beauregard Early Childhood Network applies for funding of certain early childhood programs through a Coordinated Funding Request. As the lead agency for Beauregard Early Childhood Network, Beauregard Parish School Board is required to provide an opportunity for each publicly-funded early childhood program in the community and the general public in the coverage area to comment on the proposed funding request being submitted to the Louisiana Department of Education.
