Emergency Response Exercise conducted at SBHS

The Beauregard Parish school system and the Beauregard Parish Sheriff’s Office conducted a joint Emergency Response Exercise in early March at South Beauregard High School. Employees of both entities were involved in an active shooter scenario with real-time response protocols. Safety drills are conducted periodically and help both the school system and the emergency response departments of the parish test the procedures and safety response systems that would be involved if an actual emergency response were needed at a parish school.
