  • Applicants for teaching positions with the Beauregard Parish School System must possess, or be eligible for, a Louisiana Teacher's Certificate. 

    FINGERPRINT BACKGROUND CHECK (CBC) FOR ALL EMPLOYMENT POSITIONS

    3. Direct Deposit-Beauregard Parish School District requires all employees to use direct deposit for all compensations.
    4. Employees must provide a voided check, bank enrollment ACH Form, or ABBA routing and account numbers to be used.

    Employment vacancies are published in the Beauregard News, and on the Beauregard Parish School Board website. Any employee interested in an available position may apply for a transfer as per BPSB Policy GBM: Personnel Transfer.Please remember, the Director of Personnel and principals must be extremely aggressive when filling available positions and interviews are conducted continually in anticipation of future openings. Principals are fully aware of their school needs and maintain a list of these prospective applicants to consider for future positions. Keeping this in mind, individuals interested in transfers are encouraged to visit with principals prior to the availability of any position.

      QUALIFICATIONS: A valid Type A, Type B, or Level 3 Louisiana Teaching Certificate with a Master’s degree or higher or completion of a Practitioner/Residency Leader Program. Certificate must show endorsement as Principal, Provisional Principal, Elementary Principal, or Educational Leader. Must have three (3) years of successful teaching and/or administrative experience during the five (5) year period preceding appointment; such alternatives to the preceding qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.

      QUALIFICATIONS: Must hold a valid Type A or Level 3 Louisiana teaching certificate with endorsement as Instructional Supervisor and/or appropriate Educational Leadership endorsement as prescribed by Louisiana State Department of Education Bulletin 746.

    At the beginning of the 2009-2010 school year, Beauregard Parish implemented an automated system for scheduling substitutes to fill employee vacancies.  You must be trained on the Frontline Education system before you may begin working.  Please note that all forms (i.e., reference letters, diploma and/or transcripts, etc.) must be received by the BPSB Personnel Department prior to beginning work as a substitute.  We look forward to having you join the BPSB team!

Employment Information

In accordance with ACT 409, all applicants must complete the Department of Child and Family Services CANS Form-B and submit it with their application. After the applicant has been cleared by DCFS, our HR department will provide the necessary instructions to complete the hiring process.
